Our sportsboat fleet is in a state of flux at the moment with the rapidly increasing number 707s establishing a one design class with their own start.
This has meant that the remaining boats have to be absorbed into the other classes. Following the trial class splits over the Autumn and Winter series we have decided that the PY cut off used in the Autumn was the most successful and the cut off has been set at 975.

Black Pearl
James Hudson's Seven 23 one-off is currently undergoing modification to improve its sea keeping qualities to cope with the conditions off Scarborough, much to the delight of the local Lifeboat crews, some of who crew for him.
Blue Rusher
Sam Usher and Tony Owen's Hunter 707 is sailed when Wykeham Lakes, offshore crewing commitments and Brian Sizer permits! They are getting rapidly up to speed and could be one to watch at the forthcoming Nationals.
A Grand Day Out
With the combined forces from Sparkle and Bandit there should be no problems getting crew and the learning curve, although initially steep, should see them mixing it with the rest of the rapidly expanding 707 fleet.

Humdinger
The Wild Bunch of SYC, Humdinger is sailed hard and fast to great effect. Glyn Simpson is one of the keenest proponents of the 707 and is now enjoying one design racing.

Joker in the Pack
Robin Gray is often seen out with his sons with Rudi Barman and Nick Taylor striving to get the best out of the 1720's blistering pace, often with spectacular results especially with the big kite up!

Nemo
Following from the success shown by his fathers Sonata, Bee Sharp, Mike Turner is as competitive as ever with dad still on the helm. The J80 is often at the head of the fleet and always a force to be reckoned with.
Scarborough Fair IV
David Ibbotsons 707 is not seen as often as we would like due to his location in Cornwall, a long drive for a sail! However whenever he is out she proves difficult to beat, as was proven at the 707 Northerns which he won convincingly in 2009.

Second Fiddle
Anthony is the third generation of the Dearden dynasty to sail out of Scarborough and the wealth of experience gleaned here and on the south coast makes him a wily opponent.
Shameless
We do worry about Roger Buxtons obsession with all things pink, he has now bought a 707 because of the pink stripe in the spinnaker!

G Spot
Bruce Temple has joined the 707 fleet, moving on from the First Class 8 Shere Khan.
Sin Bin
The grand old men of the fleet, Richards Plowright and Littlewood and their team of Saga louts are still competitive, the experience gleaned from many years in dinghies being particularly effective on the start line and at mark roundings.
Stormchaser
The new hot boat in the 707 fleet, Tom Patrick and co are proving difficult to beat now the fleet is one design racing.
Black Sheep
Steve Parker and Tom Clark have joined force to join the rapidly expanding 707 fleet. Steve previously raced a Hanse 291.
