Fixed Racing Marks

Start & Finish line when in transit

SYC's start line consists of two orange diamonds, one situated on the East pier and one on the race station, when in transit. ( Visable to the right of the tower)

There is an inner distance mark(No 1), designed to keep you off the rocks! and an outer distance mark( No2) which you must pass between to start.

The Finishing Line will be the transit of the Diamond on the Race Station and the No2 buoy and between the no.2 buoy if laid and the outer pier. The line will be approached after rounding the appropriate Red or Green Flag buoy, if laid, on its correct side. If the no.2 buoy is missing then competitors must finish within 100 meters of the outer pier.
